Shirt In Time
Description Title
This collection was based on shirts due to the fact shirts are timeless and have not gone out of fashion, but are constantly being adapted. I started out by making a mood board to set the tone for this project as well as a mind map that I would refer to. This lead to me researching shirts, this included the history of the shirt and key features of the shirt. I also looked on WGSN to see what trends were forecasted for the time of this collection as well as the colours of this season, which I used as my colour shcme.
Design Process
I used both my research and textiles samples to help influwnce my design development. I looked at different techniques that I could incorporate into panels of my designs such as pleating and patchwork. To further my designs I would select one and adapt features on this shirt such as the collar or yoke, I did this to ensure I was selecting the best of my designs. This helped me to create my final line up, which can be seen below
